At Penny Bites, my passion for baking started when we lost our beloved Penny. She was our first dog as a family and when she started to get picky in her older years, we started making her food at home. After I started reading the long list of ingredients on all of the store bought treats, I decided not only could I make a healthier version, our pups liked them much better! Penny left behind two canine and one feline sister with two of them as my sous chefs and taste testers.

Our team is my family, I do the baking and my amazing husband has the heavy lift of sales, advertising, pricing and of course me bouncing all of my crazy ideas off of him at all times. Occasionally you will also meet our teenage daughter Danielle (Dani) and son Tyler (Ty) and of course our fur babies Maggie, Lilly, Doug and Sox. Without my family, this idea and dream would not be possible.

We offer a wide variety of dog treats, including bones, donuts, s'mores, cakes, pies, cheesecakes etc. All of our products are made fresh, with simple ingredients, the less ingredients the better. Our baked goods are available for purchase at our local Mundelein farmers market, special orders via email and online.
